I've decided to begin blogging as I have found it impossible to have a civil discussion with those I work with. I teach in the public schools and although I realize this is socialism at it's finest, until another solution is worked out to replace its indoctrination of liberal values I am somewhat stuck. I along with my conservative peers also look at it as a sort of mission field. We are definitely the odd men/women out. None of us belong to the union as naturally we believe unions have out lived their usefulness. We would love to be paid for our performance and be kept around not because of the number of years we have taught but because we are good at what we do and are thereby providing a service people are excited to pay for. I look forward to that day. I along with my conservative colleagues have been called haters, racists and bigots as a result of the way we believe and see the world. We have found especially in this election year that when a liberal gets cornered the only way out is to call you a racist. It's an easy way out and all of their liberal friends can easily get behind that idea. Although I initially sound a bit cynical and downtrodden I am a very happy person speaking the truth and knowing that "The Truth Shall Set You Free..."
